SUMMARY

Field race stands' rail. Slow time compared to following 6f 3yo Maiden handicap whcih was run in 70.04 with that winner carrying 12lbs more.
Joyously set average to moderate pace until just past halfway then increase it. Kicked the final efforts off early 2.5F out and got a small jump on the bigger colts. Responded to line despite hanging a little left and bigger colts unable to raise the pace to close on her until late on. Joyously another example of several David Evans traits. Another of his 2yos to manage more than one win in a season (an area he excels in). Also another to develop from an early season seller to win at higher level. Transfixed the example in 2009.
BP, CE & Memen run similar races starting from within 1.5L of each other and similar positions at the line. This sort of downhill, undulating track and a 3F sprint perhaps not best set-up for them.
