SUMMARY
 Stalls on Stands' Rail. Only one race split on previous day with runners on both the Far and Stands' rail. Smaller group on Stands' side produced 3 of first 4 home with sole runner placed on Far Side the favourite clear of his group.
Headwind of previous day changed to a part tailwind. Ground quicker and officially GF after GGF previous day. Fillies carrying 5lbs more than winning colt yesterday and ran 0.13s faster in quicker conditions.
Result easily understandable versus the profile. Better fillies on profile made first 3 with PPearl (entered for 1st day of season) readier and able to kick clear and run to line. Yarooh another solid debut for trainer after some grisly ones and got across to one off the rail after a good break. Led at halfway and although passed by winner inside 2F out kept on best of others.
Golden Shine at SP which suggest a better one for Connections. Flashy Wings won the race for them at 5/4f and maiden winner Danidh Dubai an unplaced 20/1 in 2008 when underdone. GS settled on rail and had to switch out to Lane 4 to get a run and got a minor bumnp from Phoebs as making progress. Jockey asked for enough effort to get to 3rd and then hold off Emma's Gift without pressing to chase 1st 2. But, made ground in a just Ok manner and not show a strong burst. Presume lacking preparation compared to winner.
Profile then had a raft of Okish profles for smaller stables and presmably some precocious & usable but probably OR76 & lesser in the long term.
Most seemed to show what they were capable of and EG most promising. OWOL plugging on to the last 1F and badly hampered. Not look as speedy as Phoebs & Mother Jones but a bit bigger and staying on and probably get 5th.
Stewards' Enquiry into Hampering of OWOL towards last 1F found that Phoebs had interfered with Golden Shine and she had then bumped OWOL. No riding offence.
Jockey Pat Cosgrave refused to ride Iztaccihuatl and the Stewards' accepted his explanation.
