SUMMARY

Field race Centre to stands strip. Bellemere (better here after held up last time) set solid pace and field spread over 8L+ at halfway with everything from 4th back already niggled along (except for FC) and Memorabilia & My Mate Jake getting outpaced and fully driven along.
Tired looking group at finish with none going on strongly and the winner looked stalled from inside 1F out. RB & ND around 3-5L off lead at halfway and already under pressure to follow the pace. Just plug on to stalled front of race without finsishing the race of. Race probably too fast a pace and dragged everything along above their comfort level and therefore the moderate performance level and up-and-down-in-the-same-spot visual impression. The one possible real 'Closer' who might have picked the faders up was FC but he had lost 3L with a slow start (Spencer as usual). Had to make a real effor tto ge tthat grond back. Still threatening to close up on the others inside the last 1F but probably stalling inside the last 0.5F when hampered by CS hanging towards him. Moved scratchily after that and eased losing 3-4L so FC a better effort than the result reads.
