Kojak able to show what he is really capable of when he just races rather than thinking about it. Dobbs take him forward from wide draw, and along with IN doing the same, caused problems and hampering for those behind after 1F as the cross in front of the field to the rail. Freckenham on rail and shuffled back by this to be 8L back & FF clip heels and stumble badly. Kojak able to settle in lead and showing good effort to gain 2-3L quickly and finish strongly. BoB OR70s and partly such a strong favourite because horse that beat him LTO finished 3rd in the Coventry Stakes earlier. That misleading and BoB never able to compete with that quality of horse last time despite finishing 2nd (best of the rest in a moderate to average group). Freckenham switch out to centre track downhill to make effort. Race shape meant she too time to make any ground but persisting quite well to the end to be closing on the the stalled BoB. Again raced with head up and not look entirely willing. FF make reasonable effort inside the last 3F before stalling inside the last 1F. OR70s quality. No excuses for others and IN another moderate effort for a Channon 2yo (with placed form) in last 7-10 days. WJ long prices on all 3 starts & show a little more here by plugging on into the faders without being asked. |
