SUMMARY

Dry & Sunny. Light breeze as a Headwind.
Ground had been watered on both Thursday & Friday before the meeting on Saturday. Inside course in use with stalls on the Stands' side rail.
Stiff pace set by Line-of-4 through halfway with, from rail out, Barista - Rowan Spirit - Sir Lunchalott & Diamond Geezah within less than half a length of each other. For That Reason behind them in 5th & My Son Max just over two lengths off the lead.
Pace broke the front line of 4 up inside 2F out and Diamond Geezah go on. Two weaker profiles in that line fade back badly and Sir Lunchalott (good condition) fade notably in last furlong to just hang on to 3rd from pluggers on. That photo for 3rd 6L behind front pair.
MSM move forward to challenge DG inside last 1F and on top at finish. MSM had missed pace and presume DG softened up a little by attending the pace. Solid effort from DG.
But moderate time and later 5.1f handicaps won in 60.78 (OR63 3yo with 4lbs less) and 60.67 (OR60 older with 3lbs less and an A3).
Paddock Review suggest a weak race behind front two who did not have to put up strong performances to be clear at the finish.
