SUMMARY

Going official GF but times not support that. Watering and times more Good going level. Presume more of the usual getting the result you hoped for from the Clerk? I'm watering to produce GF going. I've watered to plan therefore it must be GF. Maybe, or maybe not.
Stalls stands side but field race Centre track. SW taken straight to lead having gone well as a frontrunner LTO. Jockey played with pace a little. Perhaps just above average pace to halfway with other six forming into two banks of three behind her. 2nd-4th bank made up of J, TG & TFOS within 1.5L to 2L and all pulling and having to be held to some extent. The other three all held back by 1-2L soon after the break and form the back bank at 2.5L to 3L+ back.
SW up the pace after halfway and the rest of the race an extended effort that broke up the first bank of three and they finished in the last three places with TFOS persisted best off the pace and a trait she has shown in previous races. The other three not able to go SW pace comfortably and ID notably driven along after halfway to try to respond. Race developed into a staying contest to see whether SW would stall enough to allow something to catch her. PL ran a solid race under a penalty for her Marygate win but stalling into the last 0.5F. Fallon on KS hoping 1F out that SW would stop and he would not have to be hard on his filly. Became clear on the climb to the last 0.5f plateau that SW was not obviously stopping and Fallon have to ask for, nearly, everything from KS. Still only got by SW because that one stalled late on. KS going away at finish and should stay further and develop. SW might well have got home with a flat finish 6f and a good run to set a stiff pace and last so long off it. ID struggled over a flat 5f last time but manage to stay on to win. Again lack the pace here to go and fetch SW, or even follow her pace comfortably at times, but still plugging on at the finish.
