SUMMARY

Rail out for entire 6f distance.
Slightly Below average pace and that has limited the Estimate ratings. Unfortunate because this a serious race and presume first three up to 'Green' ratings level. CP talked up as a good horse and trainer's equivalent to 'Arcano' in effect. Given a good race to test him here with two serious opponents. Trainer Dascombe has not had a good year with 2yos and health problems with the string. FTO winners common in 20009 and only Ballista has managed it this year. In effect a horse running well when most are not and hinting at better ability. Trainer has run his best 6f 2yo in this in the last two years (Classic Blade & Orpen Grey) on their way to Group races. In interview before race Dascombe said this was his best 2yo (perhaps of the 'active' ones) so a very good marker to judge CP against. Add to that Hannon's Avonmore Star who is clearly not his best 6f 2yo but has shown something different in a couple of previous runs and is definitely OR90+.
CP a taking type in Paddock Review and a size bigger than Ballista in all ways while also being neatly put together. On looks a better type than Ballista. Receiving a little weight but able to give that one a start in the final 2F sprint and produce a taking effort late on to 'Fetch' him back.
