SUMMARY
 Field race stands' rail. Usual ugly conglomeration of rails all over the straight and track appear narrower at points. Usual, single, nearly head-on camera shot from the top of the stands for 5.5f of the 6f race. Real 'Group 1' racecourse stuff and what you would expect from the set-up that brought you the weirdest, perhaps excepting Towcester, and ugliest set of stands you could find. All set in acres of broken tarmac and army barrack style, part derelict, reused buildings. Lovely.
Looked a solid pace that provided a solid base for the three better (and competent) fillies to launch from. Put enough pressure on the others to spread them out. Strong efforts in last 1.5F from first 2 and good marker effort by Eshoog.
Hannon now in typical debut form where debut wins seem to indicate Listed+ quality. Admirable Spirit green at times but keep up in second rank comfortably. Despite the odd niggle before she looked the winner 1.5F out with Hughes waiting for a gap to lauch his effort. Seemed to show something different to get to the front and pull away with FM. Green and hanging but always going best. Just medium sized but a high cruising speed. See how race develops to some extent but AS look a filly that can compete well in Listed+.
FM come from Salisbury race that has been probably been a little over-rated. But, she is a good size and sets a good standard to judge the winner against. Presume OR83+ and able to get the lead without making an effort. Delayed her final effort until towards the last 1f and then make a good forward move and trying hard but lacking the athletic reach of the winner.
Apace very inexperienced and got lost at 2F and dropped back and started hanging. But, seemed to show real promise with a strong late run which got her from 7th into the volunteer 4th gap for minimal asking late.
Into the weaker profiles behind that and STide a bit close and might raise a small doubt over the form level. Had a 5lbs apprentice on after a late jockey change and he gave her a hard ride (in huge contrast to Ryan Moore on Apace for example).
Some promise from AP as the Harris/Swinburn first string.
Star Today looks OR74 type and probably go back to 5f?
