SUMMARY
Field race centre track. Average pace and 8 of 9 in tight group spread over less than 3L at halfway. LK 2-3L off the back of the group. No obvious reason for this aside from hold-up tactics. Jockey mostly quiet for first half of race and barely moved. Occasional vague niggling along. Might be that the horse reacts badly to bullying along but not behind because too slow too keep up.
Bill Turner used to get regular debut wins in very early season at longer odds. Many for this owner-breeder but usually with OR70+ ones in weak early season races. This only his second debut winner since early 2006 with Lord Charles (the clue is in the name). The other one was in the 2008 Brocklesby (large draw bias assist). This a more untypical later season FTO win.
