SUMMARY

Pace too strong for prominent racers to finish the race off. WH ran the rail setting a stiff pace then joined by RQ just before halfway as that jockey tried to resolve being caught 2 wide off rail by going forward ahead of of BR. That pushed WH into a further effort and lifted the mid-race pace with BR going from being on the leader's heels to 2L+ back & niggled along. PD seemed a little outpaced in a fast 5f race last time on his comeback run after a break. Up to 6f here and 7L+ back of the lead here at halfway and on the rail. Able to make up that ground in the last 1F as the pressers faded. Not convincing that he would have won with a more even pace and the leaders seeing the race out fully.
