SUMMARY
 Rail out 7 yards at 6f start narrowing down to 1 yard out by the finishing post.
Mixed pace with first 2f average pace at most and leading line of, from rail out, HL, Hok, Ardour & FTP. First two of that four settled and the other pair pulling & held to some extent. Many of longer priced runners hekd up early if not slow starting and a long tail of non-competitive ones from early one trying to ensure they did not finish too close to a strong looking first four in the betting (aleady the leading line early). Leading line resolved by FTP who was fizzy in prelims and running freely in race. Jockey tried to hold him up early but horse pulled through to clear lead after 2F and field, evenly, spread over 15L at halfway. Ardour held back as FTP lifted the pace and might well have cost him the race. Just staying with HL & Hokoumah at 2L+ off FTP rather than dropping back to 4L off the lead might have given him the right platform for later race effort.
First six finish clear and a solid group at OR75-85 level. Hero From Zero a solid Meehan debut and given a prominent ride until a typical late race fade.
Mon Visage one of two debuts for trainer Wall at meeting and both run with promise. MV a solid size and ran more like a 7f+ type. Green overall and jockey just press enough to enusre he went clear with the first 6 home. Finishing position on debut informative for this trainer and a 4-6th range typically means a 50% chance of being a leter winner (often STO). Given this was a 5th behind 4 solid rivals, clear of the Garbage, by a solid physical type he ought to be well over 50% chance.
7th+ well back and nothing obvious in perhaps being worth a check for the future. At a push worth checking how BV develops.
