SUMMARY

More evidence that the Quinlan yard is back in full form with juveniles this year. Sensei supported during the day and on course with Hanagan booked. Trainer's brother interviewed before the race and made it clear they thought the horse was useful and had been brought here to win. They had thought that by coming to Scotland and avoiding a £10k bonus race they would find a soft race. Second debut winner of season for the stable after a few empty years.
In interview the stable rep said they had not expected to run into a Royal Ascot runner such as Mullins Way. He had travelled well in mid-race in the Coventry but his final position raised a worry about the overall form level. Susbsequent tests of the form have not gone well for the quality of that race. MW less well built than Sensei and while travelling well just plain overpowered by that one late on. Possibly not seeing the 7f out and better back at 6f. MW did travel 2 wide around the bend and hanging left on it at times so some improvement if that can be sorted out.
