SUMMARY

Rail out around Tattenham Corner and well out in the straight.
Average pace early but CL make an effort downhill before halfway and stretch field out. First 5 runners within 3.5L of lead at halfway and remaining three at 5.5L to 8L back of the lead.
Maher travelling well enough and starting to close up from behind with the winner towards the last 2f when badly squeezed out between the hanging CQ & the winner. Lost 5L and nor recover quickly. Eased later.
Strong forward effort by CL to last 2F and confidently ridden by Dobbs. 3-4L clear towards the last 1F. Did not seem to stall that much in final 1F and SS did seem to produce a trong effort to go and 'Fetch' him back to some extent.
