SUMMARY

Rain in previous days following a long dry spell. Apparently slower going but a faster time. Partly because ground loose on top and horses going through to a firmer base. But mostly because of a Gale as a Straight tailwind in the stright.
Stalls centre but field cross to stands' rail after 1F. Kicking up divots. CD able to set average pace 1 off the rail with KoA within a neck. Whole field within 3L of lead at halfway. Race develop into 2f final effort and difficult to make much ground.

Review on day showed that KoA over-rated for previous win and the Draw bias at Newcastle can make people look stupid in lots of ways. Shift the rail out like they have at Lingfield & Windsor, why don't they?
