SUMMARY

Rail out form usual position. Firmer going.
Unsatisfactory race with the pace barely average. Field form up into two banks of three with leading line, from rail out, of MM, Ahtoug & KF. Second rank of RG, GT & SD. KF bungled the break from a wide draw but able to get back to the leading line with only a minor effort. Lack of pace meant a lot of pulling and not settling.
Race turned into a 2F sprint and second rank needed help from the front rank to overhaul them. MMacho hampered by Ahtoug rolling onto the rail just at the 2F out mark. Stumbled after being bounced off the rail and that put him out of the race.
KF & Ahtoug engage in a strong duel until the early race extended bout of pulling saw him fade and allowed the second rank to get by him.
KF a strong type at a usable OR and able to respond again when SD looked to be getting to him inside the last 1F. That filly stalled a little as he found a kick and going clear at the line and is clearly an OR80 horse.
Hold up ride by Hills on GT set him an impossible task. Hampered a little on the rail as Master Macho tap tackled 2F out and had to switch out to centre track. Persistent effort and still closing to the line and as much as you could reasonably expect from where he started from. Might well be on a usable OR and better than this patchy race made him look.
