SUMMARY

Fast conditions and Gwynedd ran 57.52s as the fastest time here in 2009 carrying 8lbs more (down the biased rail strip which is out of bounds this year). That filly bigger & more substantial than Best Be Careful and she is some sort of later OR60s filly but will probably get an OR in the low 70s. BBC lost ground in mid-race last time (lack of concentration) before getting going again or would have gone close to winning. No such lapse here and a resonably comfortable win although stalling close home.
Upark Flyer possibly a little unlucky when cut-off at the rail going to the last 1F and having to switch out. Got to second but this a low level race and confirming the form level she has rather than being eyecatching for the future.
MLJ improvement seem real and bigger than the winner. Has shown pace in all three runs and able to get to the rail form the widest draw and control things. Faded badly on fibresand last time and better back on form gound here. Could not match the effort of the winner at 2F and got unbalanced trying to stretch out (one of a number rolling around on the firm ground when asked to go faster). Rather than fading got balanced again and some forward progress in the last 1F. running into the back of the winner 0.5f out and had to be switched out and no response afterwards.
Low level overall and pace of race spread field out but mor epromise from 4-5th pair than apparent from result. Stubbs' yard into form and the two competitive 2yos they have run so far have won and produced a strong place on the last outings. Prince Titus another competitive one in the same mould and supported here. Ran too freely early and jockey hauled him back trying to get him to settle. Raced in centre track and little forward effort when asked inside 2F out and hung notably left. Trainer's 2yos tend to snap together STO so one to take seriously in whatever Northern Auction race he turns up in next.
OFAH runs for a less consistent trainer but an ok size in this group and ok response inside the last 2F (another forced to switch off the rail) after losing ground early through greeness. Ok promise at this low level.
