SUMMARY

The sort of performance from FTC to make someone a believer. Last effort at York solid but not really the finish the race off because of hanging left and previous maiden win off a slower first half of the race. Showed something different here. Hassled early by other pressers including Melodize trying to cut him up on the rail but held her off. Looking bigger and different size and power in this group. Took off in the last 2f and probably as close as we have seen to something 'quickening' this season although the outgunned pressers fading probably enhanced the visual effect. Only faster time by a 2yo here since the start of 2004 was by Look Busy who ran 57.59s carrying 19lbs less. The second faster time was 58.41s by Group Therapy carrying 4lbs less before the 5lbs apprentice here is considered. Fastish conditions on day with 5f maiden preceding this run in 58.91s carrying 11lbs less by lower end Open Maiden class.
