SUMMARY

Pace solid for first 1f as field form up. Pace settle after that in back straight. First 6 at halfway within 2.5L of the lead. Other 4 in behind and getting a lot of kickback and not going as comfortably except for BH running wide out of the pelting.
Trainer Morrison seems to be selective about which 2yos to send to Southwell and they fit into two types. Solid types still developing and on the way up and moderate ones here after a few runs and presumably in the 'Try Something' category to find a way of winning, anything. His record at the course 2002-5 was 4 runners, 3 wins and a sixth place by a horse that never won. After a break, including the course being closed for a year he ran 4 horses here last year. No wins but two places one by a later winner and one by a disappointing horse that is still a maiden. Two runners in late season in November with the solid Domination not handling the track and back to turf afterwards. Newcomer Budva ran ok and went on to win a minor race at the track. This sort of early season switch to the course by Pisco Sour looked like a solid one for the same owners as Domination.
Endorser dropped to seller last time and presumably has been problematic and unwilling. Packed it in both previous runs and not beaten another horse. Switch to this course, blinkers again and the full carpet beating. More willing show here and stuck at it for a long time given the attritional nature of the surface.
