SUMMARY
Rail out. Field raced Centre to Far Side in the straight. Notably poor time probably off a too strong pace.
VD raced widest in the straight and this more of a staying performance. Not making any ground on pressing leading pair (JH & MM) inside 2f out and lacking their pace. Started to make progress into the last 1f as that 1f as that pair stalled & faded. Only one of field still going forward at finish. Dropped back to 5.3f here after apparently not staying 6f last time but had produced lightweight finishes in all her races. On balance you would probably say the circumstances made the win rather than ability. Another solid effort by tightly wound JH to last out the pace best and Evans squeezing the last drop out of another 2yo. But, they tend not to go 'sour' as would be the accepted 'wisdom'.
