SUMMARY
SDraw another lazy favourite for Hughes/Hannon in the shadow of their general season and startling Goodwood.
More from the 'Lazy TV Pundits Will Rot your brain with their Sloppy thinking (Turn the sound down)' File. Hoiles prattles on about 'Brighton not being a Newcomers course' at the current meeting. The facts to support that take just are not there. We have been through this before. The races at the Course are often lower quality and many trainers will not send ok quality to the course at all. Send the right quality and the wins will come.
Newcomers showed a profit 2002-8 at the course. 2009 was 2/19 and a loss but some long priced places and one accident away from a strong profit. The Strike Rate was over 10% and better than the overall FTO percentage of between 6-7%. The two wins came from ok types from Channon and Suroor.
This win brought the 2010 record for newcomers here to 3/13 and a good profit. Channon has had two wins to add to the 2009 one and all have been for Jaber Abdullah (typically). The other has been Prescott with a Cheveley Park owner bred. Bring the quality and the wins will come. FTO wins are about quality levels nearly anywhere. What's that rhythmic tapping noise?
ZAB shorter but bulkier type than the leggier, narrow fillies in the places. But, lengthier type nad ok as a stayer. Likeable attitude and able to produce an effort to make up 3L in 1.5F to get to the lead and then win a little comfortably. KC another second but nothing to do with attitude. Produced an ok effort off her lead and run down by a better horse.
