SUMMARY

Slow time and probably caused by overly strong pace. Halfway positions versus final typical of a pace that broke the front part of the field up early and allowed horses to close from well back. Winner 5L off lead at halfway and 3rd & 4th were 9L+ & 7.5L. Not Stalk & Pouncers and plugging on from well back and hence the slower time.
TV pundits suggest Far rail a disadvantage on day with winners coming up the centre in some races. This race inconclusive and finishers in mid-track making clear runs past the fading pacemakers going backwards on the far rail. The winner ran the far rail until beyond halfway before switching left towards centre track to get a clear run to make the point.
In context of pace Last Destination (-1.5L off lead at Halfway) & Chadford (forcing effort early from widest draw to be 5th at Halfway -3L) persist a little better than average. LD race 1 off rail until towards last furlong pole when had to swicth out to get past fading front line.
GLad come across as a mouse trundler and never put into the race and got to moderate 4th without ever looking like a racehorse.
Interesting race to see how form works out. Winner biggest and green overall but won with strong finish so presume can develop further. LDestination represent trainer who struggles to turn promise into wins. ADC in 3rd a strong looking finish but through fading horses and too green to get involved. Suspect or real promise? Chadford seem to show real promise and worth following. Bellemere do best of Line-of-3 at halfway and had to work hard to get there from wide draw & having been carried left at the start. Presume the usable Mick Easterby one and might have placed with a different race shape. How well she competes next time an ok indicator of race quality overall. Key Impeller small but never really fade and looked intimidated by others at different points and backing out of race mentally.
