Field RaCe Centre track. Sold Pace with leading pair 2L clear through halfway with Brevity heading early leader FM just before halfway. These pair put some distance on the original leading line as they hooked up. FM tail flashing throughout the first 2.5f with 2nd rank reasonably close. Not noted as doing this before. Strong finish from the front pair and put a lot of distance on the lesser fillies. Despite another second FM not doing anything 'wrong' and trying hard and pulling clear of the the others. Beaten by a bigger & stronger filly in Brevity who seems an ok prospect for Listed+ level. The 4 horses to have beaten FM before this effort could be talked up, with little difficulty, as a clear Ascot Nursery winner off OR79, York maiden winner who ran as the owner's 1st string of 3 in the Supersprint. A filly that started favourite for a Sandown Listed race and would have placed but for failing to stay plus subsequent Group 3 winner White Moonstone. She came somewhere to find a 'little' maiden to win and thumped the usual class in the field and almost certainly ran into another good one. |
