Hand time. Field race Centre track with first 6 through halfway within 2L of the lead. HRepeating a 'Get Rid' drop to this Grade for trainer not interested in that type. Slow start, whipped after 1.5f and veering around on debut on the way to last place. The sort of horse with a bad attitude that is not worth the Bell stable spending a disproportionate amount of time on. Solid physical type in context of this group but more of the same. Adrift early after not picking up for an inexperienced 7lbs claimer who had ridden one winner before this. Jockey had licence to administer a battering as soon as he liked and something obviously clicked with the horse. Took off after 1f and after a bit of veering about got to the lead and settled and ran ok. That left the best physical type loose on a Soft Lead with 7lbs off for free. And on to doubling the jockey's career win figures. AK another bigger one that refuses to exert himself but without the other 'quirks' of the winner. Never quite packed it in and consenting to vaguely shifting his arse towards the last 1f. |
