SUMMARY

Solid pace with race developing in centre track. JGirl off an OR67 and just in the wrong place in the handicap and a better physical type than the, mostly, compact & small ones she faced. Has engineered that mark through some greenness, some hampering and some jockey inactivity in previous three runs. Watch the video and when she cruises (relatively) away from the stalls to join JH in the leading pair, taking 2 strides to his 3 then the race is over. JH a classic small, compact one, but a zippy one and a full-on Evans 'trier'. But, with a bigger, lengthier, filly cruising along next to him. She can go as quickly as him in 3rd gear, can lengthen later on and is moving more efficiently. Still green once in the lead or JGirl would have won by further. She is presumable an OR78-83 filly beating up on rabbits.
RobberS improved for settling to some degree having been a tearaway in most previous races. DAffair given a hold up ride as a non-stayer in previous races. Raced closest to stands rail early and late which is usually a negative now. Not seem to get home fully but jockey not trying to make progress 0.5f out with her effort having got her into 5th but with a gap to the first 4. Not one to give up on. UparkF similar hold-up ride and seemed to be going ok 2f out. But nothing happened inside 2f out other than a bit of hanging. Trainer's 2yos seem, anecdotally, to show a bit of this. The tiny Chestival gave us a bit of the same in this race.
Novabridge packed it in again and Sarandjam given a hard ride in later race by the jockey as if a shirker. A bit hard on the horse seeing as it was the jockey failing to get the tea-towel off his head that lost him the ground at the start. Cuh, Moon Men.
