SUMMARY

Stalls Centre. Field cross over to Stands' Rail by 1.5f. ATYou able to get to rail and gey a comfortable lead and control the race. Race in later stages developed into an ugly winding sprint nearer to the rail between the five 'Triers'. Other 6 racing wider and asked for very little response and many green. Most soon allowed to drift back. Apart from solid effort by Darajaat to attend leader and make ok forward effort none of the others left a positive impression. Choral some late progress along the rail for minimal asking but into fillies not going forward and not looking like they were handling the going well.
Ongoing, rumbling, disagreement during the day between the Jockeys and the Clerk Of The Course. Gong officially 'Good' yesterday when there was a headwind and GSG for this meeting. Jockey Hughes interviewed after this win made the point he felt the ground was 'Soft' and had been softer than good the previous day. He used the phrase 'Who is cheating the punters..' about the going description. Richard Hills interviewed later went out of his way to support the point and said that it was not just the punters. He highlighted incorrect Going descriptions mislead trainers and people dealing with the horse's careers. Time for this maiden in line with an 'GSG' call looking at all the times for 2009-10.
