SUMMARY
Rail out from the start until 3.5f out then course width at full extent.
Average pace. Mubtadi held-up and 5L off the leading pair at halfway after a slow start, then running freely on the early downhill section and getting hauled back. Made ground comfortably on the downhill section to 2f out. Many of field under pressure at that point or green and not handling the hill. Kalgoolie never appeared to be comfortable on the track and jumping the road crossing early and getting unbalanced, for example.
Makeynn by contrast an example of how handling the course has as much to do with ability, probably more, than plain number of runs. Able to attend the pace comfortably and handle the track while others, with experience, were rolling about under pressure.
