SUMMARY

Solid pace with first two 2L clear of the 3rd at Halfway and the others well spaced over another 10L with many niggled along, green, etc. Long SP trio in 3rd-5th at halfway faded leaving a race between the first two and Barking fading in the last 1f to leave a comfortable win with the best of the newcomers getting into 2nd & 4th having not been in competitive positions early on. Barking appeared to stay 6f LTO but in a notably slow race. Faded early here off setting the pace and either a non-stayer or one of the Hannon snifflers.
Hoot had never got into any of his previous two races but fell into a winnable race here with just Barking to beat after a competent start. Seems unlikely to have much progression in performance.
Solid promise from both DLaw & SOcean. The first green and a slow start and them running a bit freely on the bend and ending up wide into the straight. Able to produe a solid effort to get to a strong second before a last 0.5f stall (typical on FTO for trainer).
SOcean a typical neat type that the trainer gets and usable at OR70+. Slow start and ended up last and 13L+ off lead at halfway. Jockey used the straight for a trial of what he could produce and solid to good result. Picked up the littler outpaced one by 1.5f out and kept at it to get to 4th with the jockey then deciding he had seen enough and easing him.
SAge given a too quiet ride on debut in a seller and plugging on into tired horses there so 'eyecatching' at a low level. Jockey didn't drop him back here when he was caught out wide to the bend and ended up racing too wide. Then got unbalanced when asked to pick up in the straight. Some response late on and nothing proved and typical to find the trainer horses having a less than smooth development.
Trainer Tregoning's record with 2yos has got less good in the last 4 years and now just average Strike Rates and relatively few wins. Competent debuts seem less common. Two dreadful efforts here and Zahraan appeared entirely clueless.
