Rain on day. Divots being kicked up and some horses not acting on going. Field raced centre track. LUToo ran better than final placing last time after getting away with a comfortable lead. In 4th at 1f out then over 7f and on the edge of the Changeover Point for that race until fading. Down in trip by 1f here and got another comfortable lead. Add in some difficulties for the others and some not staying and a win partly due to circumstance and partly because 20/1 not reflect her full ability. Humdrum a slower start again but in a position to challnege more strongly if she had picked up at 2f out. But, took time to get going again and making some ground to 1f out. Not gaining on winner at line and Run Style not really working. BM not handling the going and losing ground before the efforts were made. Overall performance would suggest Carrignavar probably the best filly. Unsettled in the stalls and sat back on her haunches as the stalls opened. Launched herself off at 45 degrees with a jump and jockey just avoided his head clouting the stall top bar. 4L off the back early but able to recover. Green in later race but making ground smoothly without the jockey having to ask for full effort. |
