SUMMARY

Stalls Stands' Rail and field raced on rail strip.
Slow time. Marston Moor has looked a galloper and needing time to get stoked up and never going smoothly on this faster surface. No response to later efforts and eased. Another Zarooni 2yo to perform badly on a later run.
Red Presence always touted as being amongst the better Dascombe 2yos in a season where the trainer has had patchy form following a move from Lambourn to Cheshire. Made his debut in a better Newbury maiden and finished that race lame and therefore the break until this STO run. In general over the last three seasons the small number of Newbury debuts for Dascombe have included a number of his better 2yos. 2008 debut win by Marine Boy (probably his best 2yo that year but never progressed from a 9L FTO win when he was wound tight fit). 2009 saw debut win for Walkingonthemoon and FTO by Barzan (maiden winner tried at Listed level). This season the small number of debuts (after his move north) have included later French Group winner Hung Parliament and useful Gentle Lord to add to Red Presence.
