SUMMARY

Race developed into a 2f Sprint with little change in position and only minor change in the packing of the group. Field spread over 2.5L at halfway and not much more at the finish. MT going best early but not as well as JG 2f out but able to inch past her and hold her effort by being more professional and handling the 1.5f ramp a little better. CW never going forward smoothly with head up and niggled along at times from early on. Did not handle the ramp and hanging and the responded on the level section at 0.5f out to be making a little ground back at the line. Looked like a classic bit of not handling the track but a bit of caution because reportedly had a 'never travelling well' run LTO on the flat York track. Has not gone with the balance and zset of his Carlisle win and Goodwood 3rd in either of the last two runs.
