SUMMARY

Conditions Race named after Provideo as a prolific winning 2yo trained by the (main) master of producing them in Bill O'Gorman. That trainer also had Timeless Times who won 16 times back in 1991 to share the record number of 2yo wins and the last example of that sort of winning run. The present race structure makes multiple wins very difficult. The other trainer that who got regular multiple winning 2yos was Mark Prescott. Most notably with Spindrifter who also has a race named after him at Pontefract and won a similar number in his year.
Prescott can still produce high number of wins within the structure that maintains now and this was KF's 5th win of the year. Brought along to improve with racing and he has gone to a new level in his last two runs.
He ran this race inefficiently by breaking slowly onthe rail and having to make ground againt the pace and wide of the rail. He then lead before halfway and kicked the final efforts too early. Despite all that the three that tried to match him faded allowing Ladyanne to trundle through to second. KF never looked like stopping and steamed on to the line. Watching his last two runs you conder why he wasn't in the Flying Childers yesterday. Prescott trying to win races ont he way presumably. (The other two trainers who produce multiple winners regularly these days are Hannon (who has this year's leader with Zebedee on 6 wins) and David Evans.
