SUMMARY

Field raced centre track. Very slow time and, along with the following Fillies' maiden, more than 1.5s slower than any 2yo race at distance since the start of 2004.
Younger trainer Pears one of those that talks about Strikes Rates and doesn't like wasting runs. Has had only a few 2yo runners but this season his FTOs have indicated that he doesn't run his 2yos until they are ready to compete to a solid level . This his 6th debut and second FTO win to add to a fourth (the other later winner).
