SUMMARY

Another Evans 2yo to come back from some duff efforts to add another win to previous successes. But, this seemed more an accident than Joyously coming back to form in a meaningful way. The frontrunners went berserk with a lot of little 'uns going at it at hard as they could and producing a relay of pressers down the back straight and into the bend. Which meant the winner was off the back being scrubbed along into the straight and still not going anywhere into the last 2f. Able to come through for a win late as the pressers broke up. 2nd & 4th home also closers and a solid effort from Takeaway to produce an extended effort in the last 2f. Kept responding until fading late on (possibly not getting the full 8f distance). Hampered a couple of times on the rail in the back straight and struggled to get a clear run into the last 2f to add to the difficulties.
