SUMMARY

Fast time but fast conditions on day. 3yo maiden won in 0.26s faster carrying 5lbs less. OR63 handicapper record times 0.44s faster carrying 4lbs more before App5.
EB a FTO winner for trainer at the typical time when he gets them with his precocious sprint 2yos. Has won similar races at this course in May with debut runners like Titus Alone & Fathom Five for example. But, they have also included lesser tyes (OR75-80) in weaker races. EB set strong pace running the rail and make an effort after 1F that stretched the field out and only PR tried (or was able) to go with it. EB keep on strongly until stalling late on and clear margin win but from two small fillies who are probably OR50s. PR fade notably and has not put a full race together yet. Dascombe 2yos seem still not to be as ready and well as he would like them and only odd runners.
Market seems to know more about the better debuts for Smart and last 3 have now been 2/1 or less (going back to 2009). Before that 5/1 to 14/1 not unusual range. Can still get debut wins outside of this usual May to early June patch with better class ones and they can still be longer SPs.
