- Banned for 1 year from training in July 2009. Found guilty of passing information for reward as part of an operation by, warned off, punter to lay horses. Had to move out of his stables as the ban precludes him from working at stables licenced by the BHA. Training at the stable taken over by Alan (A. P.) Jarvis who is his Father-in-Law. That trainer moved his own horses up to the Burke yard in Newmarket.
- Moderate results in 2009 with Mr Jarvis in charge in line with his own inconsistent record with 2yos. Some horses transferred to other stables including Maura Gittins sending some of her expensive purchases to Henry Cecil (who also received Group 1 winner Lord Shanakill from the 'Burke' yard.
