SUMMARY
Going GSS after showers the previous day and 3mm of rain overnight. Track at full width and stalls Centre having been Stands' Side the previous day. Going Stick 8.5 after 8.6 yesterday. Strong Wind as a Three-quarter Headwind from the right.

Barry Hills on his website news for w/b May 23rd = "...Red Art has entries at Ayr and Folkestone. He has really grown up and come on for his first run at Salisbury.."

Different conditions to the previous day with the Stalls in Centre track and the field raced Centre. Wind had also entirely changed around and a stiff Headwind here.

Moderate looking race on profile. Rent Free had run a clear 4th into the last 1f on debut in a race that looks solid at the front end as OR60s-70s types. Smaller tpe but in a similar group here mostly and able to win with a competent run. Sheltered from the wind and delaying his challenge. Probably barely OR70 form and not one to follow. Trainer Tinkler said something interesting after the race that his wife had bought this one as a 1yo and also one of their 2 winners in 2010 (Last Destination). One of the underlying causes of the trainer's poor record seemed to be the type he used to by and they were all the same shape no matter how much he paid. Perhaps he should let his wife do the buying.

Red Art even smaller than the medium sized beaten favourite he had here yesterday. Had looked mentally young on debut and backed out of a chance to go forward when running alongside Singalat. Possibly also not zippy enough to get into a gap against better horses. Market here not that strong for him given the oppostion and comfortably dealt with by the winner. Looks below Open Maiden level and vulnerable to anything with a bit more size and zip. Still needs to develop mentally.

Al Jemailiya a similar 'placer' type in preview although taller than the favourite. Going as well as the first 2 towards 2F out but green when asked to pick up and lost ground instead. Still plugging on late. Similar OR65-70 type.

More of the same from Latte and running a bit freely into the Headwind and showing a climbing action when held. No forward effort inside the last 2f despite appearing to be going ok to that point then hanging and fading early. The type the trainer will fix eventually in nurseries or auction race.

Flying Pickets not out of place in the group on Review but did not appear to face the blinkers and never going forward properly and seeming to be distracted.
