Hannon on his website before the day before the race = "We are just starting to bring out our second batch of two-year-olds and have some interesting ones making their debut, .....we introduce Fort Bastion, who is another potentially very nice prospect. He is a lovely .. colt who has done a couple of exciting pieces of work at home, which considering his price tag (420,000 Euros [??Arqana Website Results says €130k]) is encouraging. He is owned by .. Ogden and we hope that he will go places, but we will know a lot more after this first run. This six furlongs race is a good place to start, but he probably wants seven already."

Like Angels Will Fall he is another horse who is a credit to Richard Spencer and Chris Glenister as he was tricky while being broken. However, once he was in full work and a routine he hasn't put a foot wrong and has always gone very nicely at home. Hopefully he will go to Ascot with a good chance in the Coventry." ]
