SUMMARY
GFG going with 9mm of rain the previous day and 3mm earlier in the week. Watering as 10mm on each day Mon-Wed and 4-7mm on Thu. Medium Breeze as a half Tailwind in the Home Straight. False rail in place for the last 6f at 15ft out from the full rail width.

Took some time but the Answer will out. Take Hughes off Magic City and put Kingscote on and let him win the Norfolk front-running (perhaps the Wesley Ward 2yo might be a 'spanner' in that plan). The day after a good front-running, and settled leading, effort by Kingscote in the National Stakes more of the same here. Allowed to lead on the rail at his own pace and control the race. Running the rail here an advantage on the uphill turn to the straight and forcing the others wider. Kingscote able to kick at the right point into the straight and the jockeys on Caspar Netcher and especially Red Duke already in trouble. Both already too far back to comfortably pick up the leader unless they were really better class and Red Duke just plain too far back. TV Pundit applauding jockey on Red Duke for given it an easy introduction. It needs to be here to win and the jockey gave it no chance to get involved and anyone who backed it did not get a run for their money as much as if it lost 6L from the stalls. Not good enough.
