GFG with watering as 15mm on Weds & 10mm on Thur evening. Going Stick at 7.1 on Tues = UPDATE = 6.9 at 13:00. Medium Breeze as a Direct Tailwind. Hannon on his Website = "We also introduce a nice two-year-old of Andrew Tinkler's called Campanology at Doncaster on Friday. Johnny Murtagh is going up there to ride a couple of others for Andrew, and as Johnny has an agreement with him he rides ours, too, as neither Hughesie nor Ryan are up there. Campanology is a Royal Applause colt, who has been going well at home" Kevin Ryan interviewed on ATR in the early afternoon = "..very disappointed if Tortoni gets beaten..." What that as good as it looked from Telwaar? He looked like a different horse from debut and in excellent condition and up for the job. Rather than a bit stodgy a strong, lengthy, low slung type of his sire. Initial reaction would be that the effort and win looked like Group 3 level stuff. Tortoni never going smoothly and niggled along before than would be expected if just beaten by better types. Notably fast Conditions on the day with this a Time normally run by OR90+ types unless some assistance. Overall time needs considering in that light but manner of effort and victory quite impressive. |
