SUMMARY
GF going with 8.5mm rain Sunday and 1.5mm+ with showers on the Morning of the meeting. Going Stick at 8.8 on Monay 14:46 = UPDATE = . Stalls Far Side. Medium to Stiff Breeze as a Crosswind from the Left.

Hannon on his website = "Similarly, in the second division one has raced and the other is a first-timer. Netley Marsh completely blew the start first time up at Kempton, and, in the circumstances, did well to finish as close as he did, while Julie Wood's debutante, The New Black, is an Oratorio filly who only cost 10,000gns so gets in with a nice weight"

Slightly slower than the first Division which had a clear winner off a solid pace but looked a pretty empty race unless some of the very green ones can improve. The winner of this carrying more weight and put up a slightly better performance. Winner probably not far above OR70 in line with the Hannon summary. But, a bit more interest in the 2nd-6th here who finished in the 'empty gap' area behind the winenr in Div I terms.
Bajan Hero looks usable later OR60s on size but has looked a bit wild in previous runs. Given another no-nonsense ride here and seemed to improve to match his type. Typical strong debut by an early Stuart Kittow runner and ok promise at the level by Royal Reyah. Different types in 5-6th with Emma Jean a typical smaller one for Stan Moore that he will struggle to win with. Sovereign Waters an ok size in the context of this group but too fizzy in the prelims. Seemed reasonable OR60s promise. Overall the strong pace and closers made a slightly broken race and difficult to judge relative promise with a lot of horses getting 'involved' overall. Track to see how the first 1-2 reps of the race NTO to check overall quality (OR74 at the front say). For example, two runners from small stables that do not get 2yo winners both seemed to have newcomers show some sort of promise. The Name Is Don and ok size in the group and green overall. But ran prominently and much too freely. Only faded later on. Real promise? Usual problem of no record of whether the trainer could convert the promise if it was any. Flying Kitty green and got well back and 9-10L adrift of the lead at halfway. Raced widest so on a different strip to anything else. Made a closing effort that got her close to 4th at 1f out. Fading hid the fact she went 13th-4th-7th rather than just trundling through faders. Again, real promise?

[UPDATE = Hannon after the race on his website = "Dane (O'Neill) also came late. Netley Marsh is no superstar, but he learned from his Kempton debut and did the job well. He was drawn wide first time out and blew the start, so that was the end of that. I'd like to go for a novice now, but you tell me where I can find one. There is too much catering for bad horses." ]
