Medium Breeze as a Half Headwind from the Right in the Back Straight, Mostly a Headwind on the bend and a Half Tailwind from the left in the Home Straight. Slower race than any of the 49 x 7f 2yo events at the track in 2009-10 period. Very Slow Race with the other 5 ignoring Sister Guru who ran too freely and was 8L clear before halfway. Some signs of 'panic' from the jockeys in the rear group into the straight as SG still 6L clear and the possibility they had let her go too far dawned on them. Which led to a lot of jockeys asking for immediate efforts from 7f fillies off a bend to produce an ugly 2f sprint with a very slow build. They wouldn't be running in the first fillies' 7f maiden of the season if they had a lot of pace and 'sprints'. Wih SG fading 1.5f out all 6 fillies within 2L+ towards the last 1F and the first two home outstaying the others. Obviously suspect 'promise' from the two newcomers in 4-5th who were actually well beaten given how slow the race was. Arsaadi much greener than Tweet Lady and starting from further back in the 'sprint' so better promise. Tweet Lady (www.thepeopleshorse.co.uk) one of the 'Small Message Service' owned horses. |
