SUMMARY

First meeting on July Course in 2011. Stalls Far Side of Stands' Side Course. GF going with 4mm of rain the previous day and up to 8mm expected on the day before the meeting starts. Going Stick 8.6 on Thur 8:00am = UPDATE. Heavy rain during the afternoon and during the meeting. This race 3. Going Changed to G before race 2 and (probably) to GGS before this race but softening through the meeting.. Medium to Strong Breeze as a Three-Quarter Headwind from the Right.

Trainer Clive Brittain has improved, his moderate to patchy, record in 2009-10 but still gets wins with the better types but does manage the odd development wins now from the others. A long way behind schedule in 2011 and had already produced his batch of better ones before this time in 2010 Mid-Apr to Mid-May). The best of the better ones can win FTO and tend to show up well FTO anyway. Trainer interviewed after race and said he had 3-4 good colts (he used the word 'exceptional' but notably over-the-top in his estimates of his own horses) and Hadaj was the speediest of them so started at 6f. He said he would probably run him in the July Stakes. Said that he had two good 7f+ colts who would both run in the 7f maiden here on Saturday. He had declared two hoping the maiden would split. Abshir Zain is the first string tomorrow over Hazaz.
