SUMMARY

Peculiar final 12 declared. 54 Entries with King Bling topweight and RPost had an estimated (?check on BHA site) OR83 for him. Final 12 have a topweight as Indepub whom RPost website put in as OR71. What happened to all, a solid number, the horses at OR72-83 that were entered? This a Class 4 Race and a tw of OR71 inappropriate quality and this isn't even a solid Class 5 field. First prize money just £3,429 and presumably below Class 4 level. Has the Tariff limits set by the owners' group had an effect?

PACE affected race as the Halfway Positions to Final suggest. 1st two home deeper closers who ran wider in straight and got clear run. LV held up behind this pair and jockey seemed to know the pace too strong. Pendle Lady niggled along at halfway and well placed to challenge the fading leaders. But, rather than running wide ended up running into the back of them and getting blocked. Being held up much more important to a good final position than OR as such. Poor performance level as the slow time suggests and probably not OR60s at the front.
