Newbury Meeting in Evening seemed to have a large and very obvious Stands Side bias. Hints of something going on here as well with a similar set-up of fields racing wide across the course and the Stands' Side runners doing best. Gamilati running closest to Stands' Side here so some effect but going well with that side group anyway. How good is the huge Discourse who ran Gamilati down LTO despite being green.
Fahey on SL website = "Miss Work Of Art has been kept for the Cherry Hinton Stakes and I'm delighted with her. Six furlongs will suit her better, she's had a fantastic preparation, her work couldn't be better, and we'll find out where we are with her after this. We think she's very good, she's very laidback who just wins her races professionally. If we ran her against a 60-rated horse she'd only beat it half-a-length. We couldn't be happier with her but this is our biggest test."
Zarooni quoted on the Godolphin website = "Gamilati is unlucky to still be a maiden after two starts and we were expecting her to win on her latest appearance. 'There were five lengths back to the third home on that occasion, so both her and the winner look to be good fillies in the making. 'She has been working nicely and I am hopeful she can run well against better opposition." |
