£10k Bonus Race. Rail out on Bend until cutaway at -3f on the entrance to the straight. Gifted Girl big and solid build and Prf figure not reflect that. Got caught out laying off slow pace on debut and VT shows did ok to get to staying on 3rd given the race set-up FTO. Did the same thing to this field here by being able to get to the rail in the lead and control the race off a usable pace. Santarini bigger and strong and very fit for FTO and believable as OR80+. Tried to go forward and XF but unable to get there and Hughes decided to drop her to midfield well off the rail and no chance from there. But, not really making much progress overall. Ought to improve notably. Hannon 2nd string Star Of Bombay smaller, narrower and more compact. Might be ok range but probably low OR70s and not Open Maiden class. |
