SUMMARY

Flag start for some reason. Thecornishcockney some way behind the others as they advanced to the start and trying to be led in by an official. Refused to go with the others and then whipped around and jockey having trouble stopping him taking off the wrong way. Jockey (Mongan) on Romantic should have been censured for his ride. Skulking about on the wide outside at the start and let the others go some distance before asking his mount to kick on after them. Then proceeded to jog along wide on the track well adrift while not asking his filly to participate.

Slower pace but race kicked off early downhill and first two home duelled strongly to the line clear of the others to produce a reasonable time at the front.
