SUMMARY
Going Stick 8.1 having been 8.0 yesterday. Stalls Stands' side of the Stands' side course having been Far Side yesterday. Stiff breeze as a Quarter Tailwind from the right.

Paul Cole on his website on May 10th = "Royal Blush should improve on her second at HQ, where she was gradually getting closer but the finish came too soon. She’s very capable and we’d be hopeful of at least a repeat of her debut."

Brian Meehan on his website news = "Lovely daughter of Smart Strike who has been working very well at home. Will improve for this first race." Does the use of 'very' mean anything?

Moderate form and an uncompetitive race. FITW able to set a slower pace on the stands' rail and turn the race into a 2f 'sprint'.

Royal Blush lloks an OR74 type and lacking some power. But a reliable type and plugs on at her pace. Found an easy race here and only had to run competently to win. Quality of the Maiden she ran in on debut seems visible now with the tiny winner well beaten in the Listed race on the day. RB's win means both placed fillies have found Open maidens to win. The 4-5th have been beaten in maidens and auctions and a straggler who raced prominently has won a soft auction even at Brighton. Still not seen Tea Cup again, who might have been the better one who finished in the ruck.

Lemon Rock a medium size and strong enough but not neatly made. Not that ready here and did not handle the downhill section between 2f out to 1f out. Noel Quinlan FTOs have looked short of readiness and condition so far. Can improve STO and might be OR70+. FITW short and unathletic and a lower OR60s type on looks. Only able to finish reasonably close here because of the race shape. Maria Medusa a long SP for an expensive one for the Hannons. Did lots of things wrong and eased after getting a bump at 2f out and looking throughly startled by the whole experience.
