SUMMARY
Dry and windy since a shower on Monday and Going stick for the three day meeting has gone 7.0 to 7.4 and now 7.7, Going Stick readings in the straight as 7.5 Stands' Side and 7.6 Centre & Far Side. Stalls Stands' Side.

Field raced Stands' side strip until some last 1f drifting left by the leading line.

Faster going and a different shape to the race than the 5f Novice 2 days prior. In that event the pace did not hold up and the winner came from 7L back at halfway. Here the halfway positions to final placings show little changes. Essentially the only changes were MWOA making up 2-3L on the leading pair later on and PBanu fading out of it (running the rail which the course director insisted was chewed up and rougher). All suggesting faster conditions in line with the Going Stick and a usable pace with the front of the race barley folding back and MWOA having to work to get by.
