2011 Debut Runs Page

- 1994 foal. Owned by D. Wildenstein and trained in France by A. Fabre winning five races from 8f to 12f between 2yo to 3yo. At 2yo won one from two with a debut success in 8f maiden in late August followed by a third in an 8f Group 3 as odd-on favourite. Won four from five at 3yo with three 12f Group 1 successes including the French Derby & the Prix de L'Arc.
- To stud in 1998 in Ireland and has shuttled to Australia and a good record including european Group 1 winners Dai Jin (German Derby) & Pearl Of Love (8f 2yo). Average record with British raced 2yos in terms of winners to runners but normally has an above average strike rate. Mainly gets winners at 7f upwards from mid-season with his two winners at under 7f both being successful at 7f or 8f in later season (including 8f Group 1 Pearl Of Love).
- It is interesting to look at the sample pictures of his 2yos and consider his own physical type. He was relatively small and neat for a 12f Group 1 winner and by a sire - Nureyev - who was smaller than average and tends to get sprinter milers. The sample pictures show many of his recent 2yo winners to be smaller types (and most walking in similar way with heads held down and forwards.)
- 21 yearlings sold at British & Irish sales in 2005 with the 12 colts averaging over 70,000gns (median only 45,000gns) and the 9 fillies just above 21,000gns. A solid 2006 with 6 winners from 11 runners but mostly at maiden level over 7-8f although Proponent wona minor conditions race on the second of his two starts. [Sample 2yo Pictures]
