- 1987 foal and most expensive US yearling sales purchase in his year at $3,500,000. Owned by Classic Thoroughbreds - a collaboration between RE Sangster, Vincent O'Brien & J. Magnier to continue their business model of buying high priced American breds, usually by Northern Dancer or his sons, with the aim of turning them into stallions to generate more sales purchase funds and profits. An approach they had been undertaking since the 1970s and still evident in the Coolmore methods today (with J. Magnier now working with JP McManus & M. Tabor and AP O'Brien (no relation
to Vincent) doing the training).
- Won four races from 6f to 8f between 2yo to 3yo. As a juvenile won a 6f maiden at The Curragh on his Sept 10th debut and then was unplaced in the Dewhurst (as evens fav). At 3yo won the 6f July Cup and the Breeders Cup Mile (with Sangster's and Vincent O'Brien's old friend Lester Piggott riding).
- To stud in 1991 and has covered in Ireland (Group 1 winners Ali-Royal, Sleepytime & Val Royal at 8f, Carmine Lake at 5f & Oscar Schindler at 14f), Australia (producing two Grade 1 winners) and Brazil (three Grade 1 winners). Exported to the US in 1997 and currently at stud there and stood at a fee of $17,500 in 2005.
- A mixed record with his British raced 2yo with 15 winners from 71 runners in the period 1998-2001 including the Coventry Stakes winner CD Europe. From 2001-5 he has had 8 winners from 32 runners and a very variable strike rate in relatively small groups each year. Gets winners from 5f upwards but a better record at 6f and further after mid-season. No winner at Listed level or above in the last four seasons but a number of useful runners including Menuhin & Greek Revival in 2002 and Group placed Fokine in 2003,
- 4 yearlings sold at British & Irish sales in 2005 for an average above 40,000gns. 5 sold in 2006 for an average above 21,000 guineas.
- 2005 to 2010 Wins List.
